For the second time, Rwanda will participate in the IFE 2026 International Exhibition, an international trade fair dedicated to showcasing food and beverages, which is scheduled to take place at the end of March 2026.

The exhibition will be held in London, United Kingdom, from 30 March to 1 April 2026 at the renowned ExCeL London.

The event aims to support Rwanda in achieving its goal of promoting agricultural exports and positioning the country internationally as one with the capacity to process food products for the global market, while also helping businesses find buyers for products made in Rwanda.

Some members of the Rwandan delegation have already arrived at the event to showcase products from the country on the international market and seek partnerships that could help them expand their markets internationally.

Representatives of approximately 20 companies from Rwanda will participate in the exhibition. They will be supported and coordinated by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) and the Embassy of Rwanda in the United Kingdom.

IFE brings together thousands of professionals from the food, beverage, and tourism sectors every year.

For Rwanda, the exhibition is not simply an opportunity to gain visibility. It is also an important platform for increasing exports, developing new partnerships, and demonstrating the quality of Rwandan products on the international market.

Following Rwanda’s successful participation in the exhibition last year, the country is returning this year with a clear vision and specific objectives it hopes to achieve.

The goal is to build on the experience gained from the previous participation, strengthen market intelligence and visibility, and position Rwandan products—particularly coffee and tea—more prominently on the international market so that they can reach consumers and traders around the world.

It is also expected that Rwandan women entrepreneurs will participate in the SheTrades Rwanda-UK Study Visit, which is taking place from 25 to 28 March 2026.

The programme was organized through the SheTrades Commonwealth Programme, implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Sixteen women-led businesses operating across the food processing and coffee value chains are expected to come together to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Participants in the programme will have the opportunity to undertake market visits in cities such as London and Birmingham, meet British buyers, and learn about the requirements for accessing the UK market.

The event is taking place at a time when the situation in the Middle East remains unstable due to ongoing conflict, while Rwanda previously had an important market for its agricultural products in the region.

The ability of Rwandan businesses to identify new markets in Europe could therefore help fill potential gaps caused by the continuing conflict in the Middle East.
